KleinMein Coffee & Coworking on Waldeyerstraße 9 is a café-coworking hybrid in Berlin's Friedrichshain district that runs on good coffee, natural light, and a quietly focused atmosphere. The space pairs a full barista bar — serving espresso drinks including Freddo Espresso, cappuccino, and specialty café offerings with Greek flavor influences — with practical day-pass coworking: high-speed Wi-Fi, power at every seat, a printer and copier/scanner, and a community kitchen. Free coffee and water are included, and a cafeteria menu covers both sweet and savory options, from freshly made cakes to light bites. The minimalist interior keeps noise low and focus high, making it a workable alternative to a traditional coworking office for freelancers, remote workers, and anyone needing a productive few hours away from home. Day passes offer full-day flexibility, and hourly access is available for shorter sessions. Seating is designed with laptop users in mind.
Waldeyerstraße 9, 10247, Berlin, Germany
KleinMein sits on Waldeyerstraße 9 in the Samariterkiez, a residential corner of Friedrichshain known for its low-key, neighbourhood feel. Friedrichshain is one of Berlin's most walkable inner-city districts — lined with independent cafés, bakeries, and local shops that make it a natural fit for the freelance and remote-work crowd. The area is well connected to the rest of the city via Berlin's U- and S-Bahn network, with several tram and bus lines running through the district. Samariterkiez itself sits between the busier stretches of Frankfurter Allee and Boxhagener Platz, placing KleinMein close to the everyday amenities of Friedrichshain without the foot traffic of the more tourist-facing parts of the neighbourhood. The surrounding streets are quiet enough during working hours to make the walk over a genuine decompression from any commute.
To access KleinMein Coffee & Coworking, enter through the main entrance located at Waldeyerstraße 9. Upon arrival, proceed to the café counter where friendly staff will assist with your coworking needs. The space is open from Monday to Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM, ensuring a flexible work schedule. For security, simply inform the baristas of your coworking intention. The venue is equipped for accessibility, however, parking details are not specified. With its strategic positioning near multiple public transit options, driving may not be necessary.
Yes — Berlin has a well-established culture of laptop-friendly cafés, and KleinMein Coffee & Coworking in Friedrichshain is purpose-built for it. Unlike a standard café, KleinMein offers designated coworking day passes, high-speed Wi-Fi, power at every seat, and a printer and scanner, so it functions as a proper workspace rather than just a place to tolerate a laptop.
Review summary
Across 131 detailed Google reviews, KleinMein Coffee & Coworking comes through as a compact, welcoming café-workspace tucked into a Berlin neighborhood where the Greek-inflected hospitality is as much the draw as the desk space itself. Members return above all for the food and drinks: the coffee is repeatedly called excellent, and the Greek specialties earn particular devotion, with one reviewer describing them simply as "heavenly." The atmosphere reinforces the appeal — reviewers reach for words like cozy and intimate, and the small scale is clearly a feature rather than a limitation for regulars who appreciate a space that does not feel anonymous. Staff and ownership are a consistent talking point, with many members crediting the team for the warmth that defines the experience — "the owner and staff are simply great" appears as a sentiment across multiple reviews. The sense of community is also noted, with a cross-section of creative and internationally connected people adding to the social texture of the room. For those who come to work, members describe it as well-suited to focused sessions, and reliable wifi is mentioned alongside the generally fair pricing, with some noting generous flexibility around costs. A few honest caveats surface in the reviews. Noise levels and concentration can be inconsistent, with a handful of members finding the café energy occasionally disruptive for deep work. Pricing draws some criticism alongside its praise, suggesting expectations vary. The most consistent concern is accessibility — several reviewers flag that the location can be difficult to reach, and transport links are not universally considered convenient.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Coffee & food, and Atmosphere. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.
