The building is a short walk from Ostkreuz station — one of Berlin's major rail interchange points, served by S-Bahn lines S3, S5, S7, S9 and regional trains, placing the rest of the city within easy reach. The area around Markgrafendamm retains a quieter, residential character compared to the busier strips along Warschauer Straße, which is also within walking distance and connects to U-Bahn line U1/U3 as well as numerous tram and bus routes. The surrounding Kiez — the Berlin term for a close-knit urban neighbourhood — offers local cafés, bakeries, and everyday amenities just minutes away on foot, making it a practical base for those who prefer a calmer east-Berlin setting without sacrificing connectivity.

In Berlin, 'Kiez' refers to a close-knit local neighbourhood — a small, walkable area with its own identity, shops, and community feel. The concept is deeply embedded in Berlin culture; residents typically identify strongly with their Kiez rather than the broader district. Kiez Büro takes its name from this ethos, positioning itself as a neighbourhood workspace rather than a generic corporate hub.

Review summary
Across 12 detailed Google reviews, Kiez Büro Friedrichshain comes across as an unfussy, neighbourhood-rooted workspace in the Ostkreuz area of Berlin — the kind of place where getting to work is genuinely straightforward. Members consistently highlight how easy the space is to access, praising the low-barrier booking process — "unkomplizierte Buchung ohne irgendeine Anmeldung" — and warm, attentive staff who are frequently described as "super freundliches Personal." The combination of approachable administration and reliably helpful owners gives the day-to-day experience a relaxed, no-friction quality that reviewers return to repeatedly. On the practical side, the space earns strong marks across the board. The meeting room — spacious, equipped with a whiteboard and screen — draws consistent approval, as does the value for money, which members describe as an outstanding price-to-quality ratio. Coffee and refreshments are well stocked, with both dairy and plant-based milk always available, and the furniture and equipment are considered solid and functional. The working atmosphere is calm and focused, with members noting that relaxed, concentrated work comes naturally here, helped by decent internet speeds and a pleasant outlook over a nearby sports ground. Community rounds out the picture well: fellow members are described as genuinely friendly, and the overall feel is one of easy coexistence rather than forced networking. The honest qualifications are modest but worth noting — a handful of reviewers flag minor reservations about accessibility and the location, suggesting the space may feel slightly off the beaten path for some, and a small number of staff interactions fell short of the otherwise positive norm.
Members most consistently praise Step-free access, Staff & service, and Coffee & food. The most-raised point to know about is Step-free access.

Achtung!
