Wimbletech sits inside Wimbledon Reference Library — a characterful, traditional building that makes an unlikely but memorable backdrop for focused modern work. The space offers hot desks, fixed desks, private offices, meeting rooms, and event spaces, meaning it scales with you whether you're a freelancer clocking a long day or a startup team that needs a permanent base. Members get 24/7 access, high-speed Wi-Fi, phone booths for private calls, lockers, postal services, free tea and coffee, and a cafeteria on hand when the afternoon slump hits. The community leans toward founders, freelancers, and remote workers — reviewers consistently call out the friendly, like-minded atmosphere and the surprisingly affordable pricing. Regular community events keep the 400-strong network of entrepreneurs genuinely connected rather than just sharing a floor. If you need to collaborate across time zones — India, the US, wherever — the 24/7 access and reliable infrastructure make it practical, not just possible.

Wimbledon Reference Library, London
Wimbletech is housed in Wimbledon Reference Library, placing it right in the heart of Wimbledon — one of southwest London's most well-connected and walkable town centres. The area is well-served by Wimbledon station, which sits at the junction of the London Overground, National Rail services, and the District line, making it straightforward to reach from central London and the surrounding suburbs. Trams connect to Croydon and beyond. The town centre itself brings together independent cafés, restaurants, and green spaces within easy reach — useful for lunch breaks or after-work wind-downs. Wimbledon's mix of residential calm and urban convenience attracts a community of founders and remote workers who want a proper professional base without the commute into zone 1. The library setting also means you're embedded in a public-facing civic building, which adds an openness and foot traffic that purely private coworking spaces rarely have.
To access Wimbletech at Wimbledon Reference Library, enter through the main entrance on Wimbledon Hill Road. Upon arrival, check in at the reception located within the library. The space offers 24/7 access, allowing members to come and go as they please. Security measures are in place to ensure a safe working environment, including surveillance and secure entry systems. The building features both elevators and stairs for easy floor navigation. Parking is available nearby, but it is recommended to use public transport for convenience.

A fantastic place to work covering all the modern needs of remote workers in a traditional/ancient building… Perfect for very long days when you have to work with India and US based teams… And in addition a great team of international coworkers

Wimbletech was great value for money. For what you pay you get a great little place to go and work away from home. On the tail-end of the lock-downs I looked for space to go and work and get out of my studio. The vibe is friendly and affordable for new start-ups and remote workers. It's close to Wimbledon train station too which is a big plus if you are local!

Affordable work space, with a community approach. Works well for me as a start up and the fixed desk allows me to have a compact but cost desk. The people are like-minded and great too.

Great location, just in Wimbledon's main street. Amazing members, engaged community and bright&clean offices. Interesting for startups and freelancers. And what's more: Really affordable!

The library has lots of spaces and a large room which I think is a theatre which is open to all when not in use. There's also 2 toilets in there which is rare to find in libraries in the South. It's also within a good location.
