The City of London around Bank station is the dense financial core - Royal Exchange, Mansion House, and Threadneedle Street are all within a three-minute walk of 1 Poultry. For coffee away from the building, Department of Coffee on Leadenhall and Watch House on Bow Lane are the regulars; for lunch, Bread Ahead at Borough is a 15-minute walk and the Royal Exchange courtyard hosts Fortnum's, Cafe Murano, and Sauterelle. Bank station gives you the Central, Northern, Waterloo & City, and DLR lines; Cannon Street mainline is three minutes south for Kent and South-East commuters. The streets get quiet after 7pm and most weekends - this is a working district, not a nightlife one - so restaurants follow a Monday-to-Friday rhythm.
Enter via the main reception on Poultry. Sign in at the front desk and a member of the community team will direct you to the right floor; visitors and day-pass guests should be pre-registered. Horribly lit, dark with hard shower lights shining down on your computer, insanely uncomfortable chairs, the staff is helpful but unfriendly (no smiling, no hello, just a lank face and short answers). There is so much wasted space with only a handful of tables.

I worked here as part of a tech startup for several months and thoroughly enjoyed it. While I wasn't a regular attendee (preferring to work from home), this WeWork has an in-office barista, is located opposite the Bank of England and next to The Ned, and has loads of cool places around and inside. The floors are spacious and in typical WeWork fashion, heavy on the glass. Very social with a large open-plan core. Pro-tip? Book the meeting room with the external clock in the wall - best views!

This WeWork location has really just one strength: the central location. Otherwise, it's a pretty basic co-working space. You can expect some rather useless perks like ping-pong tables and questionable art. Only the super friendly in-house barista adds some value to the location.

Big and spacious lounging areas outside of meeting rooms. We brought and played some board games before our meeting. Great kitchen areas and accompaniments.

For an office that is called "WeWork", ironically there are a lot of things that don't work. Toilets are constantly "getting a tune up", there are never enough cups or mugs, and there aren't enough lifts. But it's not all bad — the positives are fast Wi-Fi, nice surroundings, biscuits, good tea selection, a proper cold fridge, free breakfast on Monday, and soft toilet paper.
