Velvet Space is in a lively area with lots of places to eat, perfect for breakfast and lunch. It's incredibly accessible, being just a 3-minute walk from the Universität Ubahn station and close to the Schellingstraße tram and various bus stops. For those seeking a serene escape, the English Garden is nearby, offering a tranquil spot to relax. Art enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Alte Pinakothek, which not only houses masterpieces but also becomes a lively dance spot in the evenings, with bachata, salsa, and more. Located on Amalienstraße, just to the right of Taco Company, you'll spot a sign for the space next to a black gate. Beside it, you'll see "Amalienstr. 71 Rückgebäude". Enter through this gate and head straight. The space is nestled at the end of the courtyard. Go down the stairs to access the space, where you might notice an outdoor table, perfect for calls or a refreshing break. As you step in, the welcoming community manager will be right there to assist and give you a quick tour!

Auf jeden Fall gute Kopfhörer oder ohrenstöpsel mitnehmen falls einem Ruhe wichtig ist, der Ort scheint nämlich laute Menschen anzuziehen. Sicherlich eine super Gelegenheit zum connecten für expats oder extrovertierte Menschen, aber es gab keine zehn Minuten in denen nicht die Tür laut zugefallen ist, jemand gequatscht oder sich einen Kaffee gemacht hat (und für den Kaffee muss man den siebträger anscheinend mehrmals laut auf den Tisch knallen). Es wurde ein Bewerbungsgespräch im großen Raum abgehalten wo alle saßen, ein Mann hat konstant gesummt oder Selbstgespräche geführt und zum Schluss wurde fast eine Stunde lang telefoniert. Die Mitarbeiterin (oder zwei, es war nicht ganz klar ob beide dort arbeiten oder nur eine) war zwar freundlich und hilfreich, hat aber 40% der Zeit mit der anderen Kollegin gequatscht und erst recht niemanden gebeten sich etwas zurückzuhalten. Alles in allem war es leider absolut nicht meine Atmosphäre, aber es gab offensichtlich genug Leute die der Lärmpegel eines regulären Cafébetriebes nicht gestört hat Edit: es ist nicht meine Aufgabe die Mitarbeiterinnen auf ihren Job hinzuweisen, zumal sie die meiste Zeit über selbst für den Lärm verantwortlich waren. Ein großartiger Co-Working-Space mit wunderschöner Atmosphäre mitten in der Maxvorstadt. Lara, die Inhaberin, ist unglaublich herzlich, freundlich und aufmerksam. Perfekt für alle, die Wert auf eine persönliche, menschliche Arbeitsumgebung legen und sich bewusst gegen unpersönliche Corporate-Spaces entscheiden.
