Lisbon WorkHub isn't trying to be the prettiest coworking space in the city — it's trying to be the most useful one. Housed in an award-winning rehabilitated industrial building that won the National Urban Rehab Award in 2016, the space on Rua Tabaqueira sits at the edge of Marvila's creative district: far enough from central Lisbon to actually get things done, close enough to matter. Inside, you get 24/7 access, sound-insulated phone booths, dedicated meeting rooms, and a ground-floor layout that's step-free from the street. Flexibility is built in — book a hot desk by the hour, lock in a monthly fixed or flex plan, or take a private office. Self-storage is on site. Your dog is welcome. Weekly brunches and regular networking events keep the community sharp without forcing it. If you've been working from a café in Chiado and wondering why you're not moving faster — this is your answer.
A2 Rua Tabaqueira, 1950-256, Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon WorkHub sits in Marvila/Matinha — one of Lisbon's most convincing industrial-to-creative transformations. The neighbourhood has traded factory floors for art galleries, craft breweries, and boutique restaurants without losing its grit. Nearby anchors include 8 Marvila (art, culture, and vintage), Fábrica do Braço de Prata (a cultural complex and live-music institution), and the Prata Riverside Village development stretching along the Tagus waterfront. A riverside cycle lane runs parallel to the area, making a bike commute genuinely pleasant. By train, Braço de Prata station puts you within easy reach of Santa Apolónia and Oriente. Buses 728, 750, 26B, 210, and 781 all serve the area. Free public parking is available directly on site, and bike racks are provided — so however you arrive, you're sorted. This is not central Lisbon: that's the point.
The Matinha location is at Praceta da Tabaqueira A2, 1950-256 Lisboa (also listed as R. Tabaqueira A2). The site is easily accessible by public transport: the Braço de Prata train stop is nearby, and buses 728, 750, 26B, 210 and 781 serve the area. Free public parking is available nearby, and bike racks are provided on site. A dedicated cycle lane (ciclovia) runs to the venue. Fixed-desk and private office members have 24/7 keycard/access entry. Reception/front desk is staffed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This will be my first and last time here. 😕 Really don’t feel welcome here at all. Makes me feel like I’m intruding someone’s private office even though I paid for it. Things that makes a new user feel excluded: - Day pass users are limited to sit at first two rows only. - Registration is required to sign up online - Wifi login gets you to register as a guest. - Before closing a lady stormed in and shouted “You have two minutes before closing!” Environment: Air felt stuffy when you step in. It’s dark and direct natural light comes only through the main door or meeting rooms. There’s only 3 phone booths available and since it’s an open space, it gets taken pretty often. Acoustic is pretty bad so we hear discussions from rented offices even though the doors are closed. What’s worse one of the office decided to leave the door open during their meetings and it was impossible to concentrate with their loud conversations.

Lots of potential, but wifi isn’t stable, doesn’t work from phone booths. Curtains are always closed, so when it’s sunny outside feels like you’re working from a really dark place. Positives: very spacious, good office chairs, good vibe. Delta coffee nearby, it’s by the water.

If you want to be part of the entrepreneurial innovative part of Portugal, WorkHub in Marvila is exactly that. You’ll feel the pulse of newly invested properties in the area, fancy coffee shops and loads of networking to do Staff here really makes you feel welcome. It’s way more quiet than what you’ll find in the city center — it’s a place to focus and get your work done. Extremely tech-y and nifty onboarding. My 2nd home!
