Wonderkamer is a non-profit coworking space run by Stichting Wonderkamer in the former St. Vincentius boys' school in the Cremerbuurt of Amsterdam Oud-West. On the ground floor, two redesigned classrooms and a garden are used as the coworking space, while the upper floors house artists' studios; the high rooms with large windows are light and homely, and people come here to work seriously in a pleasant, personal setting. It is aimed at freelancers, remote workers, creatives and volunteers. Memberships start with a one-month trial you can cancel straight away, then run indefinitely with two months' notice: Flex1 (up to about one day a week) costs €130 a month, Flex3 (up to about three days a week) €205 and a fixed desk with unlimited use, your own desk and chair and wired internet €295, all excl. VAT. Every plan includes 24/7 access every day of the year, coffee and tea, standing desks, cupboard space, WiFi, meeting and call rooms, cleaning, printing and scanning, plus drinks and film nights. Events can be held in the evenings or at weekends by arrangement. You can walk in for a tour (someone is usually there from about 10:00) and stay for a trial day.

Wonderkamer is on the Kanaalstraat in the Cremerbuurt, a residential part of Amsterdam Oud-West with 19th- and early 20th-century housing, schools and small shops. The Vondelpark is a few minutes' walk away for a lunchtime stroll, and the area has plenty of lunch and coffee spots, cafés with terraces and supermarkets, while the Ten Katemarkt and De Hallen, with its food hall and cinema, are a short walk or bike ride to the north. Trams on the nearby Overtoom and Jan Pieter Heijestraat connect you with the city centre and Amsterdam-West, and the Leidseplein is about ten minutes by bike. Parking is difficult, so public transport or a bike is the best way to come.

A very nice place with a high ceiling, a garden, and two phone/meeting rooms. You can work there in wonderful peace and quiet, and the managers are very friendly as well. Highly recommended!

Truly a fantastic workplace. It is quiet (everyone works very quietly), it is bright (high windows), the atmosphere is very pleasant, there are 2 nice meeting rooms, it isn't too hot on hot summer days, there is a lovely garden, and the neighborhood is friendly. In short: very happy that I came across this and highly recommended.

Excellent co-working space with a chill vibe and kind coworkers. The place is run by a caring and engaged group of three that are always open for a chat. For me it was a great place to spend 1-3 days a week to get away from my home office. I would definitely recommend to try Wonderkamer, as it helped me a lot in my productivity!
