It describes itself as a community of creatives of all kinds – fashion labels, designers, programmers and more – and as an LGBTQIA+ safe space. Velt Studio sits on Urbanstraße in Kreuzberg, in an old factory building behind the department store at Hermannplatz, right where Kreuzberg meets Neukölln. The area is busy and mixed, with bakeries, cafés, street food and shops in every direction, and Brick Time Café is about three minutes away. Getting here is easy: the U-Bahn at Hermannplatz is about four minutes on foot and a bus stops almost at the door. For bigger errands, the Neukölln Arcaden shopping centre is around 16 minutes' walk. To find the studio, enter at Urbanstraße 71 and take the left staircase through the first and third courtyards.

Review summary
Across 35 detailed Google reviews, Velt Studio reads as a close-knit creative coworking space and studio between Neukölln and Kreuzberg, right by Hermannplatz. Community is the theme that dominates. Members talk about “a really nice community” of creatives from many backgrounds, interesting people to meet between working hours, and a lot of creative exchange; several say it feels like a small family or extended family. The atmosphere matches: reviewers describe the space as cozy, relaxed and anything but stuffy, with good vibes for getting work done. The rooms get their share of praise too, described as bright and sunny with high ceilings, tastefully furnished and roomy enough for a team of five or six. A couple of members add that you can still work in peace and quiet, combining focus with a social side. The people running the space stand out. Hosts and studio managers are called friendly, welcoming and supportive with anything you need. Equipment is another plus, with members mentioning good infrastructure, a photo studio and high-quality lighting gear. Smaller touches round it off: good coffee, a daily lunch plan you can sign up for, and a price-performance ratio that two reviewers call great or affordable. The central Neukölln and Kreuzberg location is a recurring bonus. Not one review raises a complaint. They also say next to nothing about wifi, meeting rooms or phone booths, so if those matter for your work, check them on a visit.

A beautiful, unique space! Anything but stuffy, yet still professional. A wide range of disciplines and inspiring people from whom you can (mutually) learn. Cherry on top: a photo studio!!!!

I have been a flex-desker at Velt for ~3months (~2days/week) and it has been a great experience. Lots of natural light and plants, friendly coworkers (host of creatives/designer-types but also a nice mix of other professions) and quite a few of us queers :-D pretty even mix of English and German, and the right level of background noise (for me/in the open area). Joining the lunch crew has been lovely ! All in all a great experience :-)
