Calle de Manzanares, 4, 28005, Madrid, Spain
Spaces Rio sits on Calle de Manzanares, 4, in Madrid's Madrid Río district — a modern riverside corridor that stretches along the Manzanares river and connects several of the city's best-known landmarks. The Palacio Real and the historic La Latina neighbourhood are within easy reach, as are the green spaces of Madrid Río park, which offer a genuine change of scene during breaks. The surrounding streets are well served by Madrid's urban bus network, and the area is walkable to multiple metro lines for commuters coming from other parts of the city. Ground-floor retail, cafés, and restaurants line the nearby streets, meaning the building's own cafeteria is complemented by a solid range of independent lunch options close by. The district has a relaxed daytime atmosphere that contrasts with the density of central Madrid, making it a practical and quieter alternative to working from more congested business districts.

Review summary
Across 62 detailed Google reviews, Spaces Rio comes across as a well-appointed, professionally run coworking space in a convenient Madrid location that members find genuinely easy to recommend on most fronts. Staff are the most frequently praised element by some margin. Reviewers consistently describe the team as friendly, attentive, and quick to resolve issues, with one member summing it up as "excellent service from the staff, very friendly." The atmosphere earns similarly warm remarks — members describe clean, modern surroundings with a calm, professional feel. Space and light also score well, with several reviewers highlighting the variety of spots available and the overall sense of roominess, though a small number note that certain areas can feel less comfortable than others. Quietness and focus come through clearly in the reviews, making it a credible choice for those who need to concentrate. The location draws positive mentions for its accessibility, and a handful of members flag the networking dimension and the sense of community that builds over time. Smaller but notable touches — a terrace described as "awesome," dedicated phone booths, reliable wi-fi, and well-appointed meeting rooms — round out a picture of a space that attends to working practicalities. An event attendee noted being genuinely impressed by what was on offer. The clearest gap is pricing, which attracts more criticism than praise, with several members feeling the cost is difficult to justify. A lone reviewer also points to a shortage of basic equipment such as monitors, something they consider a standard expectation in a modern coworking environment.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Atmosphere, and Light & space. The most-raised point to know about is Value for money.

I want to unsubscribe, but they won't let me from their website. There's no way. It's an abuse of power.

They advertise themselves as "the no-strings-attached office." Beware! They enforce contracts by force. I had to pay for seven months during the pandemic that I couldn't even use. I sued them and lost because their contracts, drawn up by Regus, which owns Spaces, cover every scenario with their fine print and require you to sign without hesitation. They offered me a discount if I renewed for another year. They're the worst. I'll never go back to Regus or Spaces. They're all about being tied down.
