COLABOR is a coworking space in Köln-Ehrenfeld for people whose work centres on sustainability. Since November 2012 it has brought together founders of social start-ups, NGOs, initiatives, freelancers and consultants working on environmental, social and cultural change, with a particular focus on topics such as food and mobility. The rooms have late-19th-century charm and are simply but smartly furnished, partly with upcycled furniture, and the house runs on green electricity. You work at shared desks and have a lounge with a coffee kitchen, a meeting room and a charming backyard. Three tariffs are on offer (plus 19% VAT): the VollTisch with unlimited 24/7 use for €250 a month, including a locker, mail receipt and moderate printing; the HalbTisch with 80 hours a month for €150; and the ViertelTisch with 40 hours for €100. A clean-desk policy applies because the rooms host events in the evenings and at weekends. Teams get an individual quote, and members can also use six desks at the partner venue motoki in Ehrenfeld. The meeting room (20 m², 8–10 people) costs €20 an hour and the workshop room (30 m², up to 25 people) €30 an hour.

The Schirmerstraße bus stop (line 142) is about five minutes on foot and the Gutenbergstraße stop about ten. Ehrenfeld S-Bahn station and the Venloer Straße/Gürtel stop, served by tram lines 3, 4 and 13 and buses 141 and 143, are around a 15-minute walk.
