BWS is an office share run by the Stuttgart architecture practice bws – bau | werk | stadt in a period building on Breitscheidstraße in Stuttgart-West. The practice shares its ground-floor office of around 280 m² with architects, site managers, energy consultants and designers, and currently rents out eight furnished desks in two groups of four. The open-plan office of about 230 m² holds 23 desks under ceilings of around 4.5 m, and tall windows keep it bright all day. Tenants share a meeting room of about 25 m², a small workshop with storage, and a tea kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine and a seating corner. One desk costs €260 a month, two €480, three €660 and four €800, and every further desk €200 (net). Running costs of about €100 per desk a month cover coffee, water and juice, cleaning, printer, copier, plotter and the network. The minimum term is six months with two months' notice.

BWS is on Breitscheidstraße in Stuttgart-West, a lived-in quarter of period buildings, small shops, cafés and restaurants. The Schloss-/Johannesstraße Stadtbahn stop is about two minutes' walk away, Rosenbergplatz is around four minutes and Bismarckplatz, with its weekly market, around six. Feuersee S-Bahn station and the Berliner Platz stops by the Liederhalle are each about eight minutes on foot.
