Akasha Hub Barcelona is a community-run hub for social innovation in El Clot, with 830 m² spread over two warehouses: one for thinking, projects, activities, residencies and coworking, the other for making, with a fab area and a woodworking workshop for prototyping. Shared spaces include a kitchen, a patio, a chill-out area, meeting rooms and an urban garden. Since 2017 the hub has been self-funded and run by its members and volunteers in sociocratic circles, and the people who work here range from designers, architects and programmers to researchers, educators and activists. Residents pay a contribution to the project: a fixed table Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00, costs €125 a month, a flexible table €80, the prototyping studio €200 and a nomad pass for seven days a month €40, while a single day costs €10 (all excluding VAT). Fixed and flexible tables are for people with a social-innovation project or working for a social-impact organisation; the nomad pass needs no proposal. A 10-hour meeting-room package costs €30, using the fab area requires a basic course from the Fab Commons programme, and the warehouses host talks, workshops and courses and can be rented for events and shoots.

Review summary
Across 20 detailed Google reviews, members describe AKASHA Hub Barcelona as a community-first coworking space with a close-knit, relaxed feel, where entrepreneurs and makers come to work side by side and get to know each other. Community is the theme reviewers return to most, with one calling it “the best community of entrepreneurs and makers in Barcelona”. The atmosphere is described as exceptionally intimate and relaxed, and the staff come across as very friendly and welcoming. Members also appreciate the setting itself: natural light and high ceilings, a large, well-maintained space that works for several purposes, and a wide variety of teas to enjoy throughout the day. Events are the main differentiator: several reviewers bring them up and describe them as nicely organized, which sits well with how often the community itself is praised. One reviewer also calls the place very well equipped and nicely decorated. The gaps are small but practical. One member found the entrance hard to find because it isn't well signposted, so allow a minute on your first visit, and another was less satisfied with part of the equipment. The reviews lean on the social side and say little about wifi, noise levels, meeting rooms or prices, so if any of those decide it for you, ask about them before you sign up.
Members most consistently praise Community, On-site events, and Atmosphere.

It's a large space, but there's no ventilation, so it gets extremely hot. The entrance isn't well signposted.

A very special place, a fertile ground. It's a space where our ideas, ambitions, and knowledge are deeply cultivated. We rarely evolve in isolation. Within the collaborative relationship, our ideas and personal projects find their true expression, transforming individual visions into a shared and ever-expanding reality.
