Avanzi Coworking occupies a 1,000 m² renovated factory in Milan's Città Studi district, running a certified incubator (a|cube) alongside a coworking floor dedicated to sustainability, social innovation, and ecological-transition work. The Hangar open space seats around 100 across shared desks arranged in groups of four, while the Barra A area offers individual fixed desks — both flooded with natural light from the original industrial structure. A shared garden and a wisteria-covered courtyard serve as outdoor working and event space, with the adjacent Upcycle bike café available for catering and member discounts. The 350 m² Hangar doubles as an event venue for up to 50 people. Included in every membership: gigabit Wi-Fi, LAN, up to 100 monthly black-and-white prints, bike storage, and a filtered-water refill station. Meeting rooms are unlocked from six-month contracts. Impact startups, social enterprises, researchers, and sustainability consultancies make up the core community — making Avanzi one of the few Milan coworking spaces where sector alignment is built into the model.

Avanzi sits on Via Andrea Maria Ampère in Città Studi, Milan's university and research quarter — a neighbourhood dense with polytechnic spin-offs, research institutes, and the Politecnico di Milano campus a short distance away. The entrance is directly beside the Upcycle bike café, a useful orientation landmark. Metro line M2 (green line) stops at Piola, roughly six minutes on foot, connecting directly to the city centre and Cadorna. Milano Lambrate railway station — serving regional and some high-speed services — is a short walk further east, making the location practical for commuters arriving from outside the city. Buses on Viale Lombardia stop at the Via Vallazze junction three minutes away, adding a surface-transit option. The neighbourhood runs at a lower pace than Milan's financial districts, with independent cafés, a cycle-friendly street culture, and several university canteens nearby for affordable lunch options.

Review summary
Across 14 detailed Google reviews, Avanzi Coworking comes through as a creatively charged workspace in Milan where the physical environment and the people inside it are the two things members mention most. The atmosphere draws the strongest praise — reviewers reach for phrases like "extraordinarily inspiring environment" — and that tone is reinforced by a community of what members describe as "numerous talented people," making the space feel like more than a desk rental. Natural light and generous, well-proportioned rooms add to the effect, with several reviewers noting the space is "very beautiful and bright." Day-to-day practicalities hold up well. Meeting rooms are called out repeatedly as a genuine asset, the equipment is described as "impeccably" provided, and the overall setup is praised as organized and clean. The on-site bar and restaurant earns its own mentions as "truly excellent," which is not something members say about most coworking spaces. Pricing is noted as competitive, and the location draws positive remarks for being reachable on foot from central points in the city. A few aspects temper the overall picture. Connectivity is the most consistent criticism — more than one reviewer flags that the wi-fi is not reliable enough for heavy use, which is worth weighing for anyone dependent on a stable connection. Parking is the other recurring friction point, with members noting difficulty finding a spot nearby. Staff earn warm words from most reviewers, though a small number suggest the welcome experience can be inconsistent.

Avanzi Coworking is an extraordinarily inspiring environment, where the enthusiasm is contagious thanks to the presence of numerous talented people. Inside, the spaces are impeccably equipped, with large open spaces and meeting rooms that facilitate collaboration and creativity. Furthermore, the foosball table offers an excellent opportunity for team building or simply relaxing during a break. The bar/restaurant is truly excellent, with a wide selection of quality dishes at very competitive prices, making the value for money one of this coworking's strengths. The only drawback is the difficulty in finding parking, but this small inconvenience in no way detracts from the overall experience that Avanzi Coworking offers. In short, it's the ideal place to work in a dynamic and inspiring environment.
