Hanover Square sits in Mayfair, W1 — one of London's most recognised commercial and retail districts, bordered by Oxford Street to the north and Bond Street to the west. The square itself is a quiet, tree-lined garden enclave set back from the area's busiest thoroughfares, giving the immediate surroundings a calmer feel than much of central London despite the dense connectivity. Bond Street Elizabeth line and Jubilee line station is the closest Underground stop, providing fast links east to Canary Wharf and west to Heathrow. Oxford Circus (Baclava, Central, and Victoria lines) is a short walk north, and Green Park station is reachable on foot to the south. The area is well served by multiple bus routes along Oxford Street and Regent Street. Mayfair's concentration of financial services firms, luxury retail, galleries, and independent restaurants means lunch options and client-facing venues are all within a few minutes on foot.
Hanover Square is in Mayfair, in the City of Westminster (W1S postcode). It sits roughly between Oxford Street to the north, Bond Street to the west, and Green Park to the south — one of central London's most established business and retail districts.
Review summary
Across 60 detailed Google reviews, members describe a conventional office building in the heart of Mayfair, occupying a well-regarded address near Hanover Square that draws professionals who value central London connectivity above all else. The most frequently discussed aspect of the everyday experience is the front-of-house team, who receive warm praise from many members — one reviewer singles out "Luis and Iman are lovely, ever so happy, helpful and efficient" — though a meaningful share of reviewers also report inconsistent or unhelpful service interactions. The location itself attracts consistent approval, described as genuinely convenient and well-connected, and those who comment on the working environment note that the building is generally quiet and suited to focused work. Meeting rooms are regarded as functional and appropriate for interviews and client-facing sessions, and the facilities are broadly described as modern. Beyond these positives, the review set carries a notably high volume of criticism that prospective members should weigh carefully. Cleanliness is the most-cited concern, with multiple reviewers describing poor maintenance of shared facilities, including water leaking from bathrooms onto stairwells. Lighting reliability draws repeated complaints, with members noting disruptions to basic working conditions. Connectivity is another gap, with at least one member reporting a month without internet service. Security concerns around the main entrance are raised by more than one reviewer. Members also flag significant rent increases — one describing a rise of over 100% — alongside isolated but pointed concerns about air quality and the state of kitchen equipment.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Location, and Meeting rooms. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.

Very poor, water green in coffee machine, no cooling, power leads to equipment too short to fit to plugs. Overall find another office space to rent.

**BE ALERT! Before renting an office at 17 Hanover Square** Speaking from my own experience, this building has been one of the most frustrating and poorly managed places I’ve ever worked in. The management felt completely irresponsible, and the manager in particular was extremely rude and dismissive. Sending multiple emails and reminders about urgent issues but she often wouldn’t respond at all, even when the problems were affecting our ability to run our business. We dealt with a major water leakage from the second-floor bathroom, where filthy water poured into our office and even down to the first floor. It was a disgusting mess, and unbelievably, it took them more than two weeks just to dry the carpets. No temporary workspace, no solution, no urgency — nothing. From over a month, our office is having problem with lights, and despite reporting it again and again, no one from management has taken any action. Working in the dark is completely unacceptable, yet they still ignore the situation. On top of that, we’ve been experiencing constant internet problems — even though we pay separately for it — and the service barely works. Security is another huge issue: the main door is often left wide open, allowing anyone to walk in without a card. The lifts are almost always under maintenance, making it a daily struggle just to get to the office. Overall, based on my experience, the building is mismanaged, unsafe, and completely unreliable. I strongly warn anyone considering renting here to think twice and investigate these issues thoroughly before committing.

Extremely poor service and zero proactivity We’ve been renting an office with Regus and honestly, the service has been consistently disappointing. Most of our emails are ignored unless we chase repeatedly, and even then updates are slow. For a paying client, the tone in some of the interactions, both in person and over email, has been surprisingly unprofessional. Operational issues are constant. One lift is frequently out of order, and the male toilets have had recurring problems, including a full waste-water flood across the floor. We had to demand professional cleaning because this issue has happened before (though not on that scale) and was never properly cleaned. To make things even worse, they once decided to close all toilets on all floors in our section of the building as a “precaution”. Absolutely wild solution to an ongoing problem. We’ve also had a lighting issue in one of our offices dragging on for nearly two month. Instead of resolving it, they dropped off a few lamps as if that’s a serious solution. They did offer an alternative office, but it wasn’t workable for our operations. And still no actual resolution. Even basic essentials like toilet paper take nearly 24 hours to be refilled. How that’s acceptable in a commercial workspace is beyond me. Overall, the lack of proactivity, slow responses, and poor customer service make this a genuinely frustrating place to operate from. Would not recommend.
