betahaus: Dein lebendiger Coworking-Space in Hamburgs Schanzenviertel

It's a mix of productivity, great community and business relations. Totally fits the whole Sternschanze district vibe - informal, yet fair. It's the place where you get things done, but also have a feeling of not selling out.

Spent some great time here. Met so many amazing folks who are ready to help and guide. Miss the Thursday cocktails. A lot of supporting and lively people. Atmosphere is always dyanimc and energetic

I've personally had a terrible experience with the team. I contacted the team regarding a refugee project I was doing, to ask if they'd be interested in displaying my work in their community space. Tina Pantelouris (Head of Event and Corporates) agreed to display the work and sounded very interested in the project. I sent my work to them in July 2018. The printing costs were very expensive and were paid for by a German charity organisation sponsoring my work. It is now end of January 2019, and the work was never displayed, neither did I receive any communication or get my work back. My emails, messages on Facebook, phone calls are all ignored. The project was supposed to raise awareness of the situation of refugees in Europe, but all the work is on hold and has been since July 2018, as Betahaus team has not communicated with me and doesn't give my work back that I sent to them. Maybe you will be fine if you pay them money to use their co-working space, but in general, the team seems very unprofessional, disrespectful and inconsiderate, so don't expect them to care about your needs or to communicate with you if you have any issues. I still have no idea how to get my work back - I live in the UK so I can't physically go to their office. It is a real shame as they showed no respect towards this project, and I still don't understand why they can't send my work back to me. Co-working as it should be. This is a community, not a shared office where you sign in, do your work and leave at the end of the day. Expect to be joining events, lunches with friends, after-work beers, helping out other co-workers, collaborating on projects, listening to business pitches from colleagues or pitching your own concepts back! Never work alone.

Great community space, but a little undersized for our group. Very unique chairs that took some getting used to. Also, with all of the clips and such on the wall it was impossible to find a good spot for the projector.
