Das Billroth Büro ist ein kleiner Coworking-Space in Altona-Altstadt, 2018 von Magdalena Vollmer gegründet, in einem Wohnhaus von 1896 mit Stuck, großen Fenstern und einer offenen Galerie mit 4,80 m lichter Höhe. Es ist für Menschen gemacht, die lieber einen eigenen Schreibtisch und Gesellschaft haben als das Homeoffice: eine kleine, feste Community aus Freelancern, Angestellten und Promovierenden, die eigenständig und ruhig arbeitet – kurze Telefonate am Platz, längere im Meetingraum. Feste Design-Schreibtische im Erdgeschoss kosten 320 € im Monat, Galerieplätze im Obergeschoss 350 € und ein geteilter Platz, den sich zwei Personen mit je zweieinhalb Tagen pro Woche teilen, ab 199 € (alles zzgl. MwSt., dazu 250 € Kaution und 70 € für den Schlüssel). Alles andere ist inklusive: Highspeed-Internet, der Meetingraum für sechs Personen mit Flatscreen und Whiteboard, Schließfächer, Briefkasten und Türschild, ein WLAN-Drucker, eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Jura-Kaffeemaschine, Fair-Trade-Kaffee und -Tee, wöchentliche Reinigung und ein sonniger Außenbereich. Die Bushaltestelle Gerichtstraße erreichst du in etwa zwei Minuten zu Fuß, den Bahnhof Hamburg-Altona mit S-Bahn, Regional- und Fernverkehr in etwa sieben; bis zur S-Bahn-Station Königstraße sind es rund zehn Minuten. Die Geschäfte an der Großen Bergstraße liegen etwa fünf Minuten von der Tür entfernt, und in den umliegenden Straßen gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für Mittagessen oder Kaffee – eine Pause vom Schreibtisch ist also nie weit.

This small, charming co-working space is a real gem. The unique, open-plan architecture is lovingly furnished and creates a truly special atmosphere. The fantastic selection of coworkers makes the office a real place to feel at home. I've been here for a good year now and I still look forward to coming here every time.

Billroth Büro is a special little co-working space in Hamburg-Altona. I had my desk there for a year – the space is beautifully laid out and doesn't give you any impression of a dreary office. Lots of light, plenty of plants, and of course, very friendly co-workers – it's simply a pleasure to go there, and everyone gets what they need in terms of creativity, concentration, and casual chats. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. Take advantage of the opportunity if there's a space available!
