Zoku Amsterdam isn't your average coworking spot — it's a live-work-stay ecosystem perched above the Plantage neighbourhood, where your office has a rooftop bar and your commute is a lift ride. The award-winning Zoku Loft packs a full kitchen, lofted bed, and a four-person work-and-dining table into a beautifully designed micro-apartment, so a "workation" here actually makes sense. All the social action — coworking desks, seven meeting rooms, restaurant, bar, and open terraces with panoramic Amsterdam views — lives on the rooftop. Daily Fika rituals, live music every Friday, and a packed monthly events calendar mean you'll know your neighbours by Tuesday. B Corp certified and rated 9.2/10 on Booking.com, Zoku holds a Forbes shoutout as one of the 25 coolest hotels in the world. Day pass, monthly membership, or overnight Loft: pick your flavour, same roof.
105 Weesperstraat, 1018 VN, Amsterdam, Netherlands
Zoku sits on Weesperstraat 105 in the Plantage neighbourhood, just east of Amsterdam's historic canal belt — residential and calm, but far from sleepy. Artis Royal Zoo is a short stroll away, as are the National Opera & Ballet and the Carré Theatre. On a clear day, the Magere Brug (the famous Skinny Bridge) is visible right from the rooftop terrace. The streets below are lined with cosy local cafés and independent restaurants, and Hortus Botanicus is close enough for a lunch-break wander. Getting here is straightforward: Weesperplein metro hub — served by lines 51, 53, and 54 — is a 3–4 minute walk from the front door. Amsterdam Central Station is around 10 minutes by metro, and Schiphol Airport is roughly 30 minutes away (train to Zuid, then Metro 51). On-site parking with 21 spaces and EV charging makes it equally accessible by car.

We stayed at ZOKU for a two day workshop with 35 participants) and overall had a very good experience. The atmosphere and food were excellent – stylish setting and great quality throughout. The rooms are special and cozy and the Co-Working Space is amazing. The event organization was okay, but the communication between the event team and hotel staff (reception, check-in, restaurant) could be improved. It would also help if the person coordinating the event beforehand was available on-site as a direct contact. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Not super central. Drinks are not cheap, but love the atmosphere. Very chilled, nice mix of young to grown up professionals. If you enjoy live music, jam in rooftop contemporary setting and don't mind drinks being a bit on the pricey side, then try this. Large rooftop terrace for summer drinks.

had a wonderful stay at Zoku. The location is excellent, the staff are incredibly friendly and professional—especially Luana and Merlin, who really made me feel welcome. The room felt like home: cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. I also loved the view from room 527, which made the stay even more special. I will definitely be back. Thank you, Zoku, for a great experience!

Don't get me wrong, very nice hotel and the rooms are homely, clean and well equipped. Staff are friendly and the terrace has a great view. Breakfast is amazing and although I did not have dinner, Im sure it would be good too. I would say that the lift is a real problem. with so many guests that come from the outside to have brunch and dinner the lifts easily get way too crowded and one waits forever to find a open lift to come to your floor. Also, for first time guests arriving for breakfast seems odd as it feels like there is no one to help or 'check you in', the staff seem limited and often one waits to be let in to get a table.
