Westwork Coworking is a small coworking space on the ground floor of Birkenstraße 30 in Leipzig's west, set up by four friends who use the desks themselves and are on site regularly. It holds about ten workplaces in total: a furnished open space of around 60 m² with four desks, and two unfurnished private offices that you fit out yourself, with custom window film possible. The workplaces are bright, with large windows, and the idea is a small, familiar group where people get to know each other instead of working anonymously side by side. A desk in the open space costs €250 a month, Office 1 (17 m², two workplaces) €500 and Office 2 (23 m², three workplaces, own entrance) €750, all plus VAT. The price is all-inclusive: fibre internet, the shared kitchen, water, heating, electricity and regular cleaning are covered, so there are no service-charge top-ups. You have 24/7 access, there is no minimum term – one month's notice for a desk, two months for an office – and an underground parking space can be added for €60 a month plus costs.
