What to expect at The Village Berlin

The Village is a small co-working space, creative hub and workshop studio in Prenzlauer Berg's Winskiez, home to a tight-knit community of professionals, designers and artists. It is deliberately small – only three dedicated full-time desks – so it feels more like working from a friend's apartment than a big, impersonal office. Coffee, tea, muesli and snacks are always free, and every guest gets locker storage. You can drop in with a hot-desk day pass, buy eight day passes a month (and bring a friend on one of those days) or take a dedicated desk with your own key, guest passes and use of the event space at off-peak hours. The space also hosts workshops, design sprints and offsites for up to 14 people, with a projector, Apple TV, speaker and espresso machines, plus a downstairs studio on request; the owners run creative workshops such as rug tufting. The Village is on Marienburger Straße in the Winskiez, a lively, residential part of Prenzlauer Berg with cafés, bars and small shops. A bus stop at Hufelandstraße is two minutes away, and ducks and cats is a two-minute walk for coffee. The trams on Greifswalder Straße and Prenzlauer Allee are a short walk away; the U-Bahn at Senefelderplatz is about 16 minutes on foot and the S-Bahn at Greifswalder Straße around 18. I can only recommend this lovely coworking place! It’s small and cozy, which makes it feel more like working from a friend’s apartment than a big, impersonal office. The team here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I now come working here a few days a week, it's the perfect calm and inspiring bubble outside of home.

Already arriving at The Village, from the street, we can smell the aromas coming from Marie's perfume studio, the cosiness of the space is apparent even before we enter. I have had the pleasure of participating in this space for several months in which I have presented different workshops. The studio's facilities for working with small groups are great and the personal touch is unmistakable. The passion for creating spaces to share that I found in The Village is something that inspired me from the beginning. I would recommend this space both for those who want to offer their workshops and for those who want a really welcoming space to work in. Also, the location is perfect. I will keep in touch with the space to find out about the different projects and collaborations they have planned.
