Review summary
Across 23 detailed Google reviews, The Engine Room at Battersea Power Station comes through as one of London's most visually striking places to work, occupying a landmark building on the south bank of the Thames that members consistently describe as stunning. The atmosphere is the single most praised aspect of the experience, with reviewers reaching for superlatives — one calling it "the most beautiful co-working space" they have encountered — and the location draws equally strong endorsement, with members appreciating both the iconic surroundings and proximity to the riverside. Staff feature prominently in member accounts, with many singling out Marc as friendly and particularly helpful. The on-site café earns praise for convenience and quality, meeting rooms are noted as usefully quiet for focused work or calls, and a handful of members mention the outdoor spaces and a broader community of professional co-workers as quiet but genuine positives. Where the experience falls short, reviewers are candid. Pricing is a recurring concern, with several members flagging day passes at around £70 as difficult to justify. Wi-Fi reliability draws pointed criticism — one member describes it as "a disaster" — which compounds frustrations around equipment that a few find inconsistent with the space's premium presentation. The limited number of call booths is noted as a practical constraint for those needing regular private calls. A small number of members also raise concerns about access control and the presence of non-members in the space, suggesting that security protocols do not always match expectations for a members-only environment.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Atmosphere, and Location. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.

Unwelcoming manager, you are supposed to be able to use the kitchen but there is a key so you have to ask at the reception whenever you want water or whatever. Chairs are not comfortable and not aimed to be seated the whole day. A shame as the location is outstanding.

Avoid the place if you are a Regus member. I have used HQ locations across multiple centres without issue. Written commitment are not being honoured, and no one seems willing to take responsibility for it. I have a membership with “unlimited use of business lounges per month.” ( photo) When I visited Battersea, the manager told me I couldn’t use the lounge and deducted one of my coworking days instead. I showed her my account on the app. She insisted I would need to pay for lounge access separately — despite the wording in front of her. I raised a support ticket. I was told someone would investigate. That investigation consisted of asking the centre team — the very people I had raised the complaint about. The conclusion was predictably the same. The response ended with: “I hope this clarifies. If you need further assistance, please open a new ticket.” Complete lack of professionalism
