The Conduit is a private members'' club for changemakers, hidden inside a Grade II-listed building on Langley Street in Covent Garden. Across four floors, the club brings together social entrepreneurs, impact investors, sustainability professionals and NGO leaders — people whose day jobs intersect climate, peace, economic empowerment and the arts. Membership is application-based and judged on alignment with that mission rather than on industry status. Members get day-long access to lounges, library nooks, shared work tables and quiet calls rooms across the building, plus a calendar of more than 150 talks, debates, screenings and dinners each year. The in-house restaurant and rooftop bar — Rucola — handles long lunches, after-work drinks and evening events under the same roof. Reviewers single out the warm, well-considered atmosphere and an unusually engaged staff. It suits founders, philanthropists and remote workers who want their workday to sit inside a community rather than alongside one.

6 Langley Street, WC2H 9JA, London, United Kingdom
The Conduit sits on Langley Street between Seven Dials and Long Acre, one of central London''s most concentrated blocks for retail, restaurants and theatre. Within five minutes you reach the Royal Opera House, the Apple Market piazza, the Seven Dials sundial junction and the independent shops of Neal Street and Monmouth Street. Long Acre runs east to Drury Lane and west to Leicester Square, lined with everyday lunch spots — Monmouth Coffee, Pret, JENKI Matcha — alongside slower options at St Martin''s Courtyard and Mercer Walk. Covent Garden tube on the Piccadilly line is three minutes north on Long Acre; Leicester Square (Northern, Piccadilly) and Tottenham Court Road (Northern, Central, Elizabeth) are within seven minutes for onward travel. Theatre crowds, after-work bars and the piazza make the area easy to host visitors in and easy to wind down in once the workday ends.
The Conduit's entrance is on Langley Street between Long Acre and Shelton Street. Reception is on the ground floor — members tap in or sign in at the front desk; day guests and tour bookings are checked in there. Covent Garden tube (Piccadilly line) is a 3-minute walk; Leicester Square (Northern, Piccadilly) and Tottenham Court Road (Central, Elizabeth) are both within 7 minutes. The building has a lift between the four floors. There is no on-site parking — public car parks are available on Drury Lane and Shelton Street.
Apply through The Conduit's membership team. The club is application-based and looks for alignment with its mission — social impact, sustainability, philanthropy, NGOs, climate, peace and the arts. The quickest way to start the conversation is an Open Day, an Open Evening or a 30-minute private tour, after which you can submit a formal application.
Review summary
Reviewers describe The Conduit as an upscale Covent Garden venue with a strong focus on food, drinks, and events. The food and cocktails receive frequent praise, with specific mentions of excellent service and an enjoyable atmosphere. The rooftop restaurant and fifth-floor terrace are highlighted as distinctive features. Event hire is commended for well-managed, tastefully decorated rooms, efficient staff, and good facilities. One reviewer noted a serious concern about an entry refusal they found discriminatory, followed by an unauthorized card charge — a significant complaint worth acknowledging. The venue's mission-driven membership concept also draws comment.

Absolutely disgraceful experience from start to finish. I booked this restaurant in London for a special occasion and paid a deposit in advance, bringing my brother and his wife down from Manchester to celebrate. What should have been a memorable evening turned into a humiliating and infuriating experience. On arrival, we were refused entry by security who claimed I was “intoxicated,” despite the fact I had only had 2 beers beforehand and was completely calm, respectful, and in control. It honestly felt like we were judged unfairly because of our accent rather than for any genuine reason, which made the whole situation feel discriminatory and deeply insulting. To make matters even worse, after refusing us entry themselves, they then attempted to charge my card four separate times for a “no show.” and succeeded with £70, this is an account I don’t really use so they did not succeed in the full deposit, but they had zero right to do this as they refused us and it’s beyond unacceptable and feels completely dishonest. The security staff were rude, arrogant, and unprofessional, acting as though they could treat paying customers however they pleased. They ruined what was meant to be a special family occasion and showed absolutely no respect or accountability. If you have money to spend, there are far better private members’ places to go in London that actually value and respect their guests. I would strongly advise people to avoid this place. Poor management, disgraceful customer service, and an appalling way to treat guests. I will never return.

East Asian lady at the reception is amazing. She deserves a pay rise.
