Review summary
Across 18 detailed Google reviews, Spaces Shoreditch City Road registers as a large-format workspace on the edge of the City, where the surrounding neighbourhood draws consistent appreciation — members describe the location as being "in the heart of the city," with good transport links reinforcing its appeal for those commuting from across London. The atmosphere and staff are the two aspects that generate the most comment, and opinions on both run in the same direction: broadly positive, but with meaningful caveats. On better days, members describe an "incredible place to work, calm" environment, and several single out specific managers — Patricia and Doriano are named more than once for their attentiveness and what reviewers call an "amazing management team." Equipment and the scale of the building also earn straightforward praise, with members noting modern facilities and plenty of working space across the floors. Where the reviews diverge is on consistency. A notable thread of criticism touches on pricing, with several members finding the cost difficult to justify given the overall offer. The food and drinks provision draws similar dissatisfaction, despite at least one mention of "great coffee." The sharpest concerns, however, centre on cleanliness: multiple reviewers flag offices they describe as unclean, with one characterising conditions as "verging on vile." A further access issue — members reporting difficulty obtaining building passes — compounds the frustration for some. These gaps surface often enough across the review set that prospective members should weigh them carefully alongside the genuine positives.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Atmosphere, and Equipment. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.

Nice place, not the biggest but nice staff and cosy environment. Sink wasn't working and coffee machine also. The whole kitchen area was out of service when I visited.

pretty atrocious place to work... very keen on tricking us out of money at every turn. Doubled the rent with 7 days notice. We stayed for 5 months.

Happy to rent an office in this building. Well priced spaces and an amazing management team. Always kind and happy to assist any way they can! Props to Patricia and of course Doriano! I have been working with Doriano for a few years now in different buildings and he has always given his best to make everyone's life easier! I know I can always rely on him when I am facing an issue with the office. 100% recommend them.

DO NOT RENT AN OFFICE WITH SPACES. If you spent less time trying to deceive and exploit your existing tenants, maybe your occupancy would be a little higher. Deposits charged multiple times, locked out of our office for a week, rent doubled at 7 days notice, deposits that take months to be paid back, ludicrous restoration fees, corporate who never answer their emails, charged £380 to give back our badges....the list goes on.... Miserable staff and miserable tenants who are all being fleeced by Spaces. If they try to lure you in with a good rate, you will pay for it eventually. Stay away from this company.
