Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes 583, 08011, Barcelona, Spain
Spaces Plaza Universitat sits on Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes, one of Barcelona's principal east-west boulevards, at the point where it meets the university district. Plaça Universitat — home to the main building of the Universitat de Barcelona — is steps away, giving the immediate area a civic and academic character that stays noticeably calmer than the tourist-heavy Rambla corridor a few blocks south. The Eixample grid surrounds the location, meaning a dense walkable mix of lunch spots, cafés, and banks within a five-minute radius. Metro lines L1 and L2 both stop at Universitat station, providing direct access to Passeig de Gràcia, Sants-Estació, and the broader city network. Multiple bus routes run along Gran Vía itself. For those arriving by car, the building offers parking, and the boulevard layout means access from the ring roads is straightforward without navigating narrow Gothic Quarter streets.
Enter through Spaces - Plaça Universitat's main entrance located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes. Guests must check in at the reception desk where a friendly team assists with access. The building operates 24/7 access hours, ensuring flexibility for dynamic working schedules. Security is paramount with around-the-clock surveillance and secure entry systems in place. Elevators and stairs provide easy navigation, and while limited parking is available, several public parking facilities are nearby.

Review summary
Across 26 detailed Google reviews, Spaces Plaza Universitat comes through as a well-appointed coworking destination in one of Barcelona's most connected central neighbourhoods, drawing members who value accessibility and a polished working environment. The two aspects members return to most are the staff and the location. Reviewers consistently describe the team as "incredibly friendly," and the central position near Plaza Universitat earns repeated praise for its transport connections, making the commute straightforward from across the city. The space itself is described as bright and thoughtfully designed — members highlight great lighting and a welcoming atmosphere that makes long working days feel comfortable. Equipment is broadly rated as modern and functional, and the quiet, focused tone of the floor is noted alongside reliable fast wifi, a decent coffee machine, and meeting rooms that members find fit for purpose. A handful of reviewers single out the terrace with its Barcelona views as a genuine differentiator, and the sense of community around the team is mentioned warmly, with one member noting the "team is best." That said, the honest picture includes some notable gaps. Cleanliness receives more criticism than praise across the reviews, and pricing draws pointed concern from multiple members — phrases like "scam" and references to unexpected charges of around 500 euros suggest billing transparency is an area where experiences fall short. Staff interactions, while mostly positive, also carry a thread of criticism, indicating that service consistency is not uniform across all visits.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Location, and Equipment. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.

I absolutely loved visiting this coworking space; it's one of the best I've ever been to! Super clean, organized, and peaceful, with plenty of tables, chairs, and sofas for working comfortably and with complete concentration. It also has a coffee machine and a bathroom, and the reception staff are incredibly friendly. 10/10!

Excellent workspace: modern, functional, clean, and well-decorated. It has meeting rooms and individual workspaces. The common area with a cafeteria is quiet and has a pleasant atmosphere. Very well located and well-managed. It has a terrace with views of all of Barcelona. I definitely recommend it.

Very well located and very complete coworking space with all kinds of public and private workspaces. It has its own cafeteria. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and multilingual...except in Catalan. What a shame.

Location is perfect. But the building management is really subpar. Faulty bathrooms that never get fixed, horrible wc paper, faulty lights that flicker and never get fixed, faulty AC, faulty wifi, really bad cleaning service that doesn't clean the desks... Choose somewhere else to work. Note to spaces: Floor 1.
