Covent Garden is one of central London's most connected and characterful neighbourhoods. St Martins Lane sits at the district's western edge, steps from the piazza, the Royal Opera House, and the independent restaurants and cafés of Long Acre and Neal Street. The area is served by Covent Garden tube station on the Piccadilly line, with Charing Cross and Leicester Square stations also within a short walk, providing access to the Northern, Bakerloo, and District lines as well as National Rail services at Charing Cross. Multiple bus routes run along The Strand and St Martin's Lane itself. The surrounding streets offer a dense mix of lunch spots, coffee shops, theatres, and retail — making it straightforward to step away from the desk for errands or client meals without straying far. For commuters arriving by bike, the area is well served by Santander Cycles docking stations nearby.

Review summary
Across 32 detailed Google reviews, Spaces Covent Garden comes across as a well-positioned central London workspace that earns its strongest praise for staff and location, with a handful of recurring frustrations worth weighing carefully. The team is the most talked-about aspect by some distance. Members repeatedly single out staff — with Farah and her team cited by name as "consistently helpful and reliable" — describing a front-of-house presence that feels attentive rather than transactional. The central location draws nearly as much comment, with reviewers appreciating being placed at the heart of London and within easy reach of transport. The atmosphere also registers well: members describe a large floorplate offering quiet corners and a generally calm working environment, with solid sound insulation noted by those who need focused time. On the practical side, equipment draws appreciation — power outlets described as plentiful, chairs ergonomic, and tables stable — while the cafeteria and internet connection satisfy most day-to-day needs, though each draws the occasional complaint about consistency. Several honest gaps surface across the reviews. Lighting is a recurring concern: a meaningful number of members find the work areas poorly lit and lacking natural light, which can make extended stays uncomfortable. Cleanliness receives mixed signals, with some praising tidiness and others noting lapses. The aspect drawing the most pointed criticism is price — multiple reviewers question whether the overall package justifies the cost, calling it "definitely not worth the associated price tag." Those considerations are worth factoring in alongside the genuine strengths.
Members most consistently praise Staff & service, Location, and Coffee & food. The most-raised point to know about is Staff & service.

Avoid Spaces Covent Garden. After 10 years with Regus / Spaces, this has become one of the worst serviced office experiences we have had. Cleaning has deteriorated badly, maintenance is poor, air conditioning regularly fails, reception has been removed, and basic service standards have disappeared. They fired all their staff and left 1 single person to manage a whole building. Toilets have been locked because they are not being cleaned. Corridors and common areas are dusty and poorly maintained. We have had to rely on fans, heaters, and even our own hoovers in what is supposed to be a premium serviced office. On top of that, we have ongoing unresolved billing issues, including a credit of over £20,000, yet payments are still being taken. This is not a premium office. Tenants are complaining and the area manager just dismisses any complaints. Deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

The place is completely geared toward work—and that's its main advantage. Powerful internet (reliable gigabit), power outlets literally everywhere, tables that don't wobble, ergonomic chairs, and excellent sound insulation. The food and coffee are okay, nothing special, but not distracting either. The staff doesn't bother with smiles or conversation—they just get the job done quickly and without unnecessary fuss. For those who come to code/write/calculate for 6-10 hours, it's perfect. There's almost no personal emotion or "atmosphere" here, but the results are there.

First time at Spaces Covent Garden and really good experience. Team was super kind and help me a lot to set everything up because it was my first time. They was very patient and friendly and make me feel welcome straight away. Honestly the staff is the reason I will come back again. Very nice people and great service.

While the place doesn’t feel the same without Rok, he has clearly trained his team well as the girls provide a great service and a very welcoming atmosphere! Always service with a smile! Can’t recommend it enough!
