CORE Oldenburg isn't just a coworking space — it's a nationally recognised community hub carved out of a converted former Hertie department store right in Oldenburg's city centre. Ranked in Germany's Top 5 coworking spaces for 2025 and awarded 2nd place for Most Innovative Space and Best Community Management, CORE earns those titles through specifics: a ground-floor Markthalle serving regional and international street food open to everyone, regular workshops and networking events, and a resident feel-good dog who keeps the mood honest. The upper coworking floor offers flexible and fixed desks alongside private offices, all accessible by lift. Members on Flex, Fix, and office plans get 24/7 token access and a free VWG public transport combo ticket covering Oldenburg's city zone — a rare perk that actually reduces the cost of your commute. True to its CORE Kodex, the space is explicitly inclusive: gender-neutral bathrooms, step-free access, and a safe-space ethos baked into how the community runs.
6-8 Heiligengeiststraße, 26121, Oldenburg (Oldb), Germany
CORE sits at Heiligengeiststraße 6-8 in the middle of Oldenburg's pedestrianised inner-city retail zone — the kind of central location where errands, lunch spots, and after-work drinks are all within a few minutes on foot. The building itself anchors a stretch of the city centre that still hums with daily foot traffic, surrounded by independent shops, cafés, and the cultural landmarks that make Oldenburg worth exploring between meetings. For drivers, the City Center Parkhaus is conveniently nearby. Public transport is well served by VWG buses connecting the centre to the wider city — and Flex, Fix Desk, and office members receive a free VWG combo ticket covering city zone 740, making the commute genuinely cost-free. Oldenburg's compact centre means the main station and most civic amenities are reachable without a car, and the pedestrian zone makes arriving on foot or by bike an easy, pleasant option.
CORE Oldenburg is located at Heiligengeiststraße 6-8, 26121 Oldenburg, in a converted former Hertie department store in the city centre. Enter from street level; the Markthalle food hall is on the ground floor and the coworking/meeting floors are accessible via stairs or lift to the upper floor. Members with Flex Desk, Fix Desk, or private office plans receive a personal access token for 24/7 entry. Day Pass and Study Pass holders may access the space during regular opening hours only. Reception/front desk staff are present during standard operating hours (Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00). Parking is available as an add-on at the nearby car park (City Center Parkhaus) — a parking card is issued upon payment of a €20 deposit. Members may also use a free public transport combo ticket (VWG) for travel within Oldenburg's city zone (zone 740).

I loved this place! Whether you need lunch, a coffee break, a place to work, or meet some friends for drinks, you can find it at CORE. There plenty of food choices, free wifi, clean bathrooms, and room for a group of any size. I would definitely be back!

very good Arabic food, its all super fresh and very tasty, would definitely recommend that. overall atmosphere was very bright and comfortable. the only thing I wasn't happy with was the coffee. It was very small for a pretty high price : a small glass of latte macchiato (we ordered a big one) for over 4€... For the food, definitely a yes, but if you want good coffee you can also go elsewhere.

Something delicious to eat for everyone! Prices are fair. Really nice atmosphere and workers. The bathroom is genderneutral - which I haven't seen in public spaces before - , very well executed and I absolutely love it! :D Non-binary or transgender friends of mine will not feel uncomfortable at all - thank you!
