Regus Chiado sits across the 1st and 2nd floors of a building on Rua Ivens 42, placing your desk in one of Lisbon's most storied and walkable neighbourhoods. The space runs over 100 workstations alongside multiple meeting rooms — enough variety for solo remote workers, small teams, and professionals needing a reliable base in the Portuguese capital. Day-to-day essentials are covered: lounge area for breaks between calls, a vending machine, and disabled-friendly equipment throughout. Terraces add an outdoor option that's rare at this price point in central Lisbon. Reviewers consistently flag the location as a standout — within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and the historic streetscape of Chiado. With a 4.4 Google rating across verified visitors, the space earns its reputation for consistent, professional-grade infrastructure without the long-term lease commitment. A practical, well-situated choice for anyone working remotely in Lisbon who needs something more structured than a café.
Chiado,Rua Ivens 42,1st & 2nd floors, 1200-227, Lisbon, Portugal
Chiado is one of Lisbon's best-known central districts — a walkable blend of independent bookshops, long-running pastry houses, contemporary restaurants, and fashion boutiques. The area sits on the ridge between Baixa and Bairro Alto, making it easy to grab lunch on Rua do Carmo or catch a tram along Rua de São Paulo after work. Largo do Chiado and Praça Luís de Camões are both within a few minutes' walk, giving the neighbourhood a relaxed, open feel despite being central. The historic Brasileira café and the Teatro São Luís are nearby cultural anchors. For commuters, the Baixa-Chiado metro station (serving both the Blue and Green lines) is the closest major transit hub, connecting you to Marquês de Pombal, Oriente, and Cais do Sodré quickly. Lisbon's main rideshare and taxi pick-up spots cluster around Largo do Chiado, making car-free arrivals entirely straightforward.
Regus Chiado offers both: flexible coworking desks and serviced private offices, all on short-term or rolling agreements. You're not locked into a long lease — plans scale from daily drop-in use up to dedicated team offices.
Review summary
Across 119 detailed Google reviews, this Chiado address comes through as a characterful base in one of Lisbon's most sought-after central neighbourhoods, drawing members who value convenience above all else. Location is by far the most praised aspect, with reviewers returning to it again and again — "location couldn't have been better" is a sentiment echoed in many forms, with easy access to the area's cafés, trams, and cultural landmarks cited as a genuine daily advantage. Cleanliness is the next most consistent point of praise, with members describing well-maintained spaces and a comfortable overall environment. Staff also earn warm mentions from a majority of reviewers, who note a kind and helpful attitude that smooths the day-to-day experience. A smaller number flag interactions that fell short of expectations, suggesting some inconsistency in service delivery. On the equipment side, most members find what they need, though a handful report practical issues — absent hot water being one specific frustration mentioned more than once — pointing to occasional maintenance gaps worth knowing about. The honest gaps are meaningful here. Accessibility is the most-mentioned concern in the entire review set, with multiple members specifically noting the absence of an elevator, making upper-floor access difficult for those with mobility considerations or heavy luggage. Noise and focus also draw repeated criticism, with the lively Chiado surroundings bleeding into the workspace for some. Privacy around natural light and window coverings comes up occasionally as a minor comfort concern.
Members most consistently praise Location, Staff & service, and Cleanliness. The most-raised point to know about is Step-free access.

I have personally had +10 office spaces around the world. Regus is the worse by far. I’m honestly out of words for how bad this experience was. Underwhelming service, slow internet, trouble with airconditioning, and then after I move out, after staying for 30 days, they are now invoicing me €300 for cleaning of 10 square feet. If this is not a big fat scam, then I don’t know what to call it. Never ever getting an office with Regus ever again.
