Workspace 6 is an independent coworking space in one of the arches under the railway tracks of Amsterdam Centraal, at Tussen de Bogen 6, at the end of a row of independent ateliers, workshops and creative offices just north of the Jordaan and next to Prinseneiland. Running since 2010 as 'subculture under the tracks', it offers hot desks and meeting space for freelancers, startups and established companies in a homely, artistic setting with eclectic decor, a one-of-a-kind collection of bicycles hanging from the ceiling and a large vinyl record collection. Desks come with monitors and high-speed internet, there are sofas and reading corners, and music lovers can use the band room with guitars, amp, keyboard, piano, PA and drums. The space has a strong community built over years of borrels, parties, events and even jazz performances, and its host also runs a marketing agency for the bike industry from here.
