tribehouse is a small creative house in a rear courtyard in Leipzig-Plagwitz, run by the design studio smalltribe, with just eight fixed desks and no flex desks or walk-through traffic. The 180 m² house spreads over two floors plus a roof terrace: on the ground floor, the focus level holds the desks at rolling Eiermann tables in two islands, a meeting room with a round table and whiteboard, and a kitchen with oven, espresso machine and a table for six. Upstairs are a focus room with a height-adjustable desk, a loft with sofa and armchairs and a net stretched over the open atrium for breaks, and the roof terrace has lounge furniture and a parasol. A fixed desk costs €400 a month plus VAT, all in: 24/7 access by digital door code, the meeting and focus rooms, kitchen, lounge, roof terrace, coffee, water, soft drinks and Wi-Fi, with no service charges, for a minimum of three months and then cancellable monthly. You can spend a full working day at a free desk first, free of charge. For workshops, dinners, talks and shoots, the whole house can be booked exclusively for up to 40 people at a day rate on request, and pets are welcome if the group agrees.
