The Collection Chapter No. 7 is the former office of the publisher Elsevier at Singel 151, running through to Spuistraat 104, on the innermost canal of Amsterdam's canal belt. Gable stones above the large ground-floor windows show two open books and the words 'Anno 1912', the year it was completed to plans by architect Johann Gottfriet Robbers; in 1952 Arend Jan Westerman added a new office building and typesetting workshop towards the Spuistraat. Fully refurbished, the 3,575 sqm building now offers airy, light-filled managed offices that keep something of the old newsroom spirit. The Chapter page currently lists the building as fully let, so space here is on request. The Collection leases private office suites rather than coworking desks, typically from about 150 sqm on leases of one to ten years, and every tenant becomes a member with 24/7 access to shared amenities across all its Amsterdam buildings.
