HiHive is a small coworking on the mezzanine floor of Carrer de Pelai 9, between Plaça de la Universitat and Plaça de Catalunya, made up mostly of private offices. Each of its five offices comes furnished exactly as shown in its photos – white desks with grey acoustic dividers and mesh office chairs – so you can start work on day one: office 2 for four people costs €700 a month, office 4 for five €750, office 1 for five €960, office 3 for eight €1,350 and office 5 for ten €1,650. For individuals there are five desks in a shared room at €160 a month each. All prices exclude VAT, the minimum stay is one month, and the welcome offer halves the first month. Two lounges – the Pelayo lounge and an interior one under an ornate plaster ceiling – give you somewhere to relax or chat, and the kitchen-office has a water fountain, coffee maker, microwave, fridge and kettle, with a dining area and two toilets. Air conditioning with heat pump runs in every office and common area, there is an alarm, cable internet as well as Wi-Fi, and you get in 24/7 through an app. The website shows which offices and desks are currently free, and you get in touch by WhatsApp or Telegram.
